Well wow!! It has been like a very very long time since I have posted anything here! Well we are already finished fostering the three kids I told yall about it my last post, actually we have been for awhile. The fostering went okay it was very stressful at times though but I always seemed to get through it. Now I am just debating, debating, and debating lol actually not so much lately, I have been spending alot of time playin AA.(shame on me!) My partner and I made it to Regionals so we will be going there in...two weeks I believe. At our last tournament we got 2nd I was so speechless! It is so weird we have only been to two tournaments and both times things happened which involved the police! The first tournament was the one in Bedford and on our way back from the tournament at a Shell gas station my ma and brother went inside to get my dad caffeine to stay awake and get everyone else a snack then while I was waiting in the van I saw this guy shoving this girl around at a restaurant next door and I got sooo scared and then I told my dad "Dad! Look over there!" (I was shacking all over) and he kept looking around and didn't see it cause it was behind us and he was looking in front of us I thought I was going to go insane! Then finally he realized what I was looking at, then he honked his horn and I don't think the guy understood that we were honking at him but anyway he started shoving her more and more towards the back of the restaurant I was so scared I just started yelling at my dad to do something then they got behind the restaurant and I could barely see them then the guy made a gesture and it made me honestly think that he had killed her, then I started freaking out even more but then a few seconds later I saw her still moving then my dad drove the van towards the back of the restaurant turned his high beams on and then honked, the guy finally let the girl go realizing that with the high beams on we could see everything he was doing, then the girl ran towards our van and yelled "He has a gun!!" my heart sank I was so scared then my dad told her to run back to the Shell gas station and she did then my brother came out to tell me they didn't have what I wanted and he was trying to figure out why we over there, then my dad drove back over towards the gas station, cause we didn't want to get shot, then my brother not know the guy had a gun went back to see if he could see the man! My dad was on the phone with the police then I went crazy and yelled at my dad "Dad! Josh is over there!" then my dad yelled out the window for him to get back over here then my dad said "Are you crazy! The guy has a gun!" then my brother said oh well I didn't know I was just tryin to see where he went, within like a minute or two, two police cars arrived thank God they knew who he was and got a picture of him or else I would have had to be a witness. Turns out it was the owner of the restaurants brother or something like that it seemed like this hadn't been the first 911 call about this guy. That was probably the most scariest (Is that even a word??) thing that ever happened to me! The other story I don't really know much about but here it is anyway: we were getting back to our hotel on the second day of the tournament (I think) and we saw a lot of police cars on the road that was in front of our Hotel and we saw forensics so we knew it had to be bad we also saw a pile of clothes but no person, well it turned out that a homeless man got ran over that night. I don't really know if it was an accident or on purpose but either way it was sad. I just really hope that no police are in involved at our next tournament drive/stay. Anywho let's see what else has happened...oh yes my aunt and her two kids decided to come stay with us while my uncle tries to find a job which could be weeks or months we aren't really sure. (My uncle got out of the Marines so now he is looking for a job he really enjoys, I guess he didn't enjoy being in the Marines plus he didn't get to spend much time with his family while he was a Marine) Then I think it was like a week after my aunt came here that my grandma came over and told us that she quit her job, I mean we had been encouraging her to quit her job for awhile but we meant that she should quit with a plan, like another job so that she can pay for rent and her car, but she didn't really have a plan so now she is living with us as well so we have 9 people living in our house, I mean it is livable I am not complaining cause I could be much worse off but I just don't like sharing a room with my brother and sister. Anyway it will all work out! Let's see what else...Oh my dad is going to be running a Blue Book Debate Camp in Texas this September!!!! I am supposed to try and get people interested at the next tournament (hopefully tournaments) that I go to, that'll be interesting, seeing as I am kinda shy! We need to get at least 40 people to sign up by the 27th of July for the camp to even happen. If anyone is interested you can go to www.coachcarterdebate.org Well I think that is it for now I will probably post more later, I am going to try and be a little more active on here. TTFN! Have a wonderful day, everyone! Brittany Rae God Bless! |
